okay so every year we get a little bit obsessed with christmas, and this year we turned a tiny playhouse into the coziest holiday set you have ever seen. wreaths on the windows, a tree in the corner, stockings on the wall, a rocking horse that every kid wants to climb. it is the kind of place where you just show up, sit down, and let the little ones do their thing.
we are a husband and wife photo + video team in provo, and these christmas minis are our favorite way to wrap up the year. for $25 and a new, unwrapped toy, you get real holiday photos of your people, and every toy goes to kids at intermountain children’s hospital and local families in need. we still have a few spots open!
what a mini session actually looks like
it is fifteen minutes, and honestly it goes by fast in the best way. we do not do stiff poses or a long shot list. you sit, you snuggle, you let the baby crawl wherever he wants to crawl, and we catch the real stuff. if someone melts down, we just roll with it. that is usually where the good ones come from.

what to wear for christmas mini sessions
aim for colors that look good together without matching perfectly. rich reds, deep greens, cream, camel, and soft plaids all photograph beautifully against a holiday set. add texture with knits, velvet, or flannel, and skip big logos and neon colors. the family on this page nailed it with green and cream: dad in a green pullover, mom in a cream cardigan, and baby in a little striped rugby shirt. if you have little ones, bring a cozy layer and a favorite toy or small treat.
the playhouse yard
after we warm up inside, we step out to the yard for a few photos in front of the playhouse. it is covered in wreaths and tiny christmas trees with big pink bows, and it makes the most storybook backdrop.

christmas minis are a simple, affordable way to get a holiday photo and give back at the same time. every toy donated helps make the season brighter for kids who need it most. so you get photos you will actually frame, and a kid somewhere gets a gift. that feels like a pretty good deal to us.
