wedding day emergency kit list: what to pack (and who carries it)
by sophia + colby, chasing robins media · provo, utah
- what it is: a small bag of fixes for the little things
- who carries it: a bridesmaid, sibling or friend
- size: one tote is enough
- best rule: if you think of it, add it
something small usually goes sideways on a wedding day. a button, a blister, a headache. none of it ruins the day, but it feels huge in the moment. an emergency kit makes it a thirty-second fix.
here is the list we hand couples.
the fix-it basics
- safety pins and double-sided fashion tape
- clear nail polish and a nail file
- a mini sewing kit and a few extra buttons
- stain remover pen
- static spray or a lint roller
- scissors and clear tape

the comfort items
- pain reliever and bandaids
- blister cushions or moleskin
- mints, tissues, and a small mirror
- deodorant and a mini hairspray
- snacks that do not melt
- water bottles
pack comfort items in a separate pouch so the person carrying it can find them quickly.
for the photos
- lint roller for dark suits
- extra boutonniere pins
- a backup phone charger
- a small umbrella
a little prep means photos stay calm. read our timeline guide to see where the buffer time lives.

who should carry it
pick someone steady who will not be in every photo. hand them the kit and the printed list. they become the person everyone finds when something small goes wrong, and you never have to think about it.
