Utah temple days
Best Utah Temples for Wedding Photos
By Sophia + Colby, Chasing Robins Media · Provo, Utah

- Photos happen outside on the grounds.
- Plan 60 to 90 minutes after the sealing.
- Soft light works best: open shade and the last hour or two before sunset.
- Temple day packages start at $500.
Choosing a temple for photos
Utah has many beautiful temples, and the best one for photos is often the one that fits your family and your timeline. When choosing, look at: how much green space the grounds have, how crowded it gets, how close the parking is, and what time of day your sealing is.

What to know for any temple
- Photos are taken on the grounds, not inside.
- Temple days run on temple time, so build in buffer.
- Wear what you will wear to the temple, plus comfortable shoes for the grass.
- Bring someone to help with the train.
How photo + video work together on a temple day
Video can capture the exit and reactions, and photo can handle the formals and portraits afterward. Because we are one team, we plan both so the exit is covered without crowding anyone.
Temples we have photographed weddings at
We have photographed Utah temple weddings at the Mt. Timpanogos, Payson, Logan and Manti temples, among others. Each has its own feel, so tell us which one you are sealed in and we will plan around the grounds.
