intentional wedding coverage that you will relive forever=

Some love stories feel like they belong in a novel — the kind you want to reread slowly, just to savor every detail. Lyric and Nate’s story is one of those. Full of movement, intention, and a quiet kind of magic that feels timeless.
They met swing dancing, a detail that somehow captures their entire relationship: joyful, connected, and perfectly in step. Originally from Idaho, these two are planning a June wedding at Weddings on the Lakes Venue, a charming Idaho wedding venue that feels like it was made for summer celebrations and heartfelt vows. Think warm light, soft romance, and Pretty Little Women–inspired elegance.

For their engagement session, we met on January 10th at the Provo Castle in Utah, and despite it being winter, the grounds were surprisingly green — a rare and beautiful backdrop for a winter engagement session. The castle’s stone architecture paired with soft greenery created the perfect setting for a romantic, documentary-style engagement session in Provo.
As an Idaho and Utah wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to locations that elevate a love story without overpowering it — and Provo Castle did exactly that. It gave us classic, timeless visuals while allowing Lyric and Nate’s connection to remain the focus.

Lyric and Nate didn’t need much direction. Their connection speaks for itself — the way they laugh together, the way Nate looks at Lyric like she’s home, the way she leans into him so naturally. This session was all about storytelling, capturing the in-between moments, the quiet touches, and the genuine joy that unfolds when two people are fully themselves.
This is the heart of documentary-style wedding photography: images that don’t just show what your love looks like, but what it feels like.

With their wedding set for June at Weddings on the Lakes Venue in Idaho, Lyric and Nate’s engagement session feels like a soft preview of what’s to come — a summer celebration filled with warmth, movement, and intentional love. Their story is rooted in friendship and built on shared joy, and I already know their wedding day will reflect that beautifully.
Lyric and Nate, your love feels steady and joyful in the best way. Thank you for trusting me to document this chapter of your story — I cannot wait to capture the next one.
