Elizabeth + Daniel Payson LDS Temple Wedding

Elizabeth + Daniel’s Joyful Payson Temple Wedding | Salem Utah LDS Wedding Photographer
Some weddings are just pure magic from start to finish—and Elizabeth + Daniel’s day was exactly that. These two met while working as counselors at FSY (yes, cue all the meet-cute movie vibes 💛), and their love story has been full of laughter, inside jokes, and sweet spiritual moments ever since.
Their wedding day was the perfect reflection of who they are: full of light, love, and a little chaos—in the best way. They were sealed on May 2nd, 2025, at the LDS Payson Temple, followed by a lively reception at Emerald Eve Event Center in Salem, Utah.
A Spring Temple Sealing Full of Emotion
The sealing exit at the Payson Temple happened around 1 PM, and the energy was contagious. The sun was high and glowing, which gave their bridal portraits that gorgeous mid-afternoon light—perfect for Elizabeth’s dreamy princess gown. She wore a satin dress with a full skirt, a dramatic train, and a long veil that floated perfectly in the breeze. Daniel rocked a sandy tan suit with a dusty blue tie that pulled everything together.
One of my favorite parts? Their exit moment. All their people were lined up, cheering them on as they came out of the temple doors—officially husband and wife!!

The photos that hit different
We stayed on the temple grounds for bridal portraits right after the sealing. That soft early afternoon light danced beautifully on the white stone of the temple and shimmered off Elizabeth’s dress. I had the bridesmaids gather around to “fix up the bride” as a prompt—and the result was the sweetest, most authentic set of candids. Some crouching to fix her dress, others adjusting her veil—it was such a real moment.
And of course, every photo of Elizabeth and Daniel together? Pure joy. They were constantly cracking jokes and laughing with each other, and you could feel how in love they are.

A reception that felt like a classy Family bBQ!
Later that evening, the reception kicked off at the Emerald Eve Event Center from 6 to 9 PM. The whole vibe felt like a family barbecue-meets-dance-party-meets-Kahoot showdown 😂 Seriously—they had a live Kahoot game with all their guests to see who knew them best. And the groom + groomsmen? Oh yeah—they performed a full-on choreographed dance for Elizabeth that had everyone cheering!
From signs asking for honeymoon donations to a cheeky “Help buy Elizabeth an iPhone” fund, the personal touches were everywhere and so them. The food was also a hit: cookies and ice cream from the byu creamery kept everyone fueled for a night full of dancing and memory-making.

TIPS from Behind the Lens
If you’re planning a temple wedding or LDS reception, here’s my biggest tip: Talk through your shot list with your photographer beforehand. We did this with Elizabeth + Daniel, and it helped the day flow so smoothly—especially when there’s a gap between sealing and reception.
Also, don’t stress about the tiny details. Elizabeth + Daniel were the perfect example of focusing on what really mattered: each other. That energy created space for the sweetest, most genuine moments to unfold naturally—and those are always the most powerful photos.

Final Thoughts
This wedding was the best reminder of why I do what I do. It wasn’t about Pinterest-perfect details (though there were plenty of cute ones!). It was about a couple who couldn’t stop smiling, surrounded by people who adore them, celebrating their forever.
