Samantha + Shane Wedding Day | Mt. Timp LDS Temple

An emotional, sunshine-filled day with the love story everyone dreams of!

June 14th, 2025 was one of those absolutely perfect summer days—clear skies, warm sun, and just enough of a breeze to keep everyone comfortable. But the real glow came from Samantha and Shane. These two are the kind of couple you see and immediately think: that’s the dream. The way Shane couldn’t keep his eyes—or hands—off of Sam all day (in the sweetest way ever) was just heart-melting. Hugs, kisses, forehead touches… you name it. He was never more than a few feet from her, and the way they looked at each other? Straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel.

Their Love Story

Sam and Shane met rock climbing (hello, adventurous meet-cute!) and quickly fell head over heels. They bonded over their love for the outdoors, and when Shane proposed, it was on one of their favorite hikes. Every part of their relationship is rooted in joy, fun, and deep connection—and their wedding day reflected every bit of that.

Sealed At the Mt. Timpanogos Temple

Their 11am sealing at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple was actually their very first time attending that temple together! They chose it not just because it’s stunning (seriously—it’s one of my faves), but because it’s close to home and easy to revisit often. I started photographing around 11:45am just as they exited, glowing and full of that just-sealed joy.

One thing to note for my fellow LDS brides: the exit at the Mt. Timp temple is a little funky, but don’t worry—there are tons of gorgeous photo spots on the grounds! I love the variety it offers—lush greenery, elegant stonework, and soft light pockets around every corner.

We followed up with family and group photos, including parents, grandparents, siblings, bridal party, bridesmaids, and groomsmen. (Tip: Make sure everyone knows when their photo is coming up—some of Shane’s groomsmen wandered off right before we needed them! A simple checklist with names and a “who’s on deck” system works wonders.)

The look + feel

Sam wore a dreamy A-line gown with a lace bodice and tulle skirt—SO elegant and romantic. Instead of a traditional veil, she had the cutest floral hairclip, and her bridesmaids carried bright sunflower bouquets that totally popped against the temple backdrop. Shane wore a sharp gray suit with a light pink tie, and the guys had boutonnieres to match.

The whole vibe was romantic and playful—just like Sam and Shane. From soft, emotional portraits at the temple to spontaneous giggles during the bridal party shots, it was one of those days where every photo felt effortless because their love set the tone.

Luncheon + reception at the Bungalow 🌿

After temple photos, they celebrated at The Bungalow in Pleasant Grove, which is basically a hidden botanical dream. With both indoor and outdoor space, it felt like a garden party mixed with classic elegance. I would LOVE to photograph there again—it was such a versatile and beautiful space!

One of my favorite parts? Their first dance. They did a full choreographed number to a High School Musical song (!!) and had everyone laughing and crying at the same time. I live for those personal touches that make a wedding feel 100% “you.”

Planning Tips from your photographer!

Here are a few gems from Sam and Shane’s day that I always share with my brides:

I always sit down with each couple beforehand to build a timeline that fits their vision. No stress, no rushing, just intentional moments and lots of time to breathe.

Family photos go SO much smoother with a written list of names and a clear “on deck” system. Trust me, it keeps things moving and ensures no one is accidentally missed.

Cake cutting + bouquet toss don’t need a full hour. These fun moments fly by in 10 minutes or less—so plan accordingly and make space for what really matters to you!

Samantha and Shane! Thank you!

thank you for letting me be part of your day—it was a joy to capture every sweet, giggly, emotional second. If you’re dreaming of a Mt. Timpanogos Temple wedding or looking for a photographer who can help you plan and document your day in a real, meaningful way… I’m your girl. 💛
